Ohio Born & Raised
Jill Miglich is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Columbus, Ohio, weaving folk, soft pop, and alternative into heartfelt songs that feel like time capsules. Her debut album ‘IGNITE’ is a 9 tack diary about losing your way, facing hard truths, and finding yourself again — a story that is deeply human and healing. Influenced by the emotional grit of Stevie Nicks, the cinematic edge of Lord Huron, and the indie quirks of Djo, Jill brings a raw, nostalgic energy to her music.
Backed by texturally layered production, smooth synths, and warm guitar tones, her lyrics are unfiltered but poetic, reflecting on everything from grief, to growing up, to the strange comfort of uncertainty. She often sings about the people she loves most in her life, the translation between childhood to adulthood, and the many places she’s traveled to (while always returning to her home in Ohio, of course). Whether she’s playing solo acoustic sets in local bars or writing barefoot on the floor of her bedroom, Jill is building a world that feels lived-in, lo-fi, and human.
Jill is slowly but surely carving out a space for those who crave honesty in their playlists — the kind of songs that feel like a coffee date with an old friend, an inside joke with your siblings, and the faint alarm in the back of your head that constantly reminds you that you are always growing up. Jill’s music is a relatable window into her own life, which goes to show that as humans we all live out our own versions of the same experience, and can find comfort in each other through music.
