ALBUMS
IGNITE
Leaning pop-rock with influences of folk, metal, and soft, psychedelic textures, βIGNITEβ is Jillβs debut, 9 track album. Following the release of her debut single βWhiskey & Wineβ and the lead single from the album βAirport Wishlist,β these tracks represent each end of the genre spectrum βIGNITEβ sits in the middle of. This record represents an exploratory phase in both her music and life by weaving in a myriad of musical influences throughout the journey described throughout each track. For the best listening experience, Jill suggests you listen in order from start to finish.
SINGLES
Evergreen
Written before the 2024 album IGNITE was even released, βEvergreenβ ultimately found its place as the epilogue to that chapter. Built around acoustic guitar, atmospheric synths, and an expansive final chorus, the indie-pop track captures the feeling of finding your way back to yourself after change. At its heart is an image of regrowth: a forest burned down, only to return ten times more full. βEvergreenβ is about getting a little lost, finding your own way home, and realizing you may have grown into someone you like even better along the way.
Oyster
If there were a way to turn a family photo album into a song, it would be Oyster. Released on July 10 and written about my two older brothers and our childhood together, the song blends acoustic singer-songwriter storytelling with indie folk and soft pop influences. Inspired by old photographs, home videos, and the house we grew up in, it reflects on family, nostalgia, and the memories that become more meaningful with time.
Hooley
βHooleyβ is a high-energy, Irish-inspired folk-pop track about the kind of night that starts with βjust stopping byβ and turns into something you never want to leave. Built around driving acoustic guitar, punchy percussion, lively fiddle, and mandolin, the song captures the chaos, warmth, and connection of celebrating with your people.
Life Used To Be Different
Can you recall specific moments that made you feel happy as a kid? Like how you felt when you were outside playing and the sun started to set, or getting on a bike and starting to pedal for the first time? As youβve grown, these memories warp into bittersweet reminders that time is moving fast. This track echoes this musically by pairing blunt lyrics, smooth synths, and an electric guitar that haunts below the melody. It doesnβt just describe how Life Used To Be Different, it makes you feel it
Airport Wishlist
Pack your bags and escape your woes with Jill Miglich in βAirport Wishlist.β Fun & upbeat, this track combines lyrical wit with instrumental finesse to detail moving on via adventure. Centered around boarding a flight to a faraway city, this early 2000βs pop-inspired song follows Jill through an airport as she looks for good food, ignores unwanted phone calls, and finds mischievous ways to pass time before her flight. Sometimes cheeky metaphors and an airport chime are all you need to let go.
Whiskey & Wine
What could be better than a barrel aged whiskey or a deep cabernet from a rich California grape? Only a blend of the two, of course. This track compares top shelf, high quality blended booze to one perfectly matched couple who say βI do.β Sung in the present tense, the story flashes forward to the years to come which, like a skillful blend of whiskey & wine, only gets better with age.
